Solly and Selby

I've made a couple more bears for The Great Yorkshire Teddy Bear Event, which takes place on 18th May  at the Sheffield Hilton Hotel.

Here is Solly, a red and yellow clown bear made from hand dyed silk.

Solly is 10.75" (27cm) tall up to the tips of his red ears. He has matching coloured ultrasuede paw pads, a bright red embroidered nose, black glass eyes which have been shaded and a very big smile!

Solly is finished with a ruffled red ribbon, red and yellow buttons on his chest and a big gold bell around his neck.

Come along to the fabulous bear show in Sheffield and see Solly "in the fur"

Next is another open mouthed bear. I've been experimenting with this pattern and have made the mouth on Selby a bit wider - see what you think.....

This is Selby - yes I did watch the recent snooker final!  He is 10" (25cm) tall and is made from dense, curly, gingery brown mohair with a contrasting beige muzzle. His dark brown paw pads and shaped foot pads are made from suedette. Selby has dark amber glass eyes with eye whites and a black embroidered nose.

Whoops sorry about the fluff on his nose!! Funny how those things always show up more in photographs!

And that fluff is still there...

Selby will soon be sitting on my table at the Sheffield Hilton Hotel waiting for someone to notice him - hopefully he will have removed the nose fluff by then!!
