Holiday in Wales

Sorry for the lack of posts lately but we have been away to South Wales celebrating my BIG number birthday with a "0" at the end!!! I thought I would share just a few of my photos with you....

We stayed in a lovely old 17th century National Trust farmhouse - it was huge and easily accommodated our party of 10, including children and grandchildren.

Situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons it made a lovely base for days out and bike rides for the younger ones.

The kitchen, after everyone had arrived and cluttered it up!

This is Newton House which was close by in Dinefwr Park which was the seat of Welsh royalty in the Middle Ages.

We were also very close to the Black Mountains and drove along some hair raising roads with sheer drops to the side!! Scary!

The scenery was beautiful - very lush and green....
....and you could see for miles....

We visited a Tudor merchant's house -also National Trust - in Tenby, which was built around 1490 and overlooks the harbour. The house has been restored to show how it might have been around 1500 when it's Tudor family was living there.

If you are ever in Tenby go and have a look, there is even some hand painted Georgian wall decorations - like painted wallpaper, but you have to ask to see it as it is hidden behind a curtain to help preserve it.

Well that's it - holiday over and now it's back to work. I have more little bears to make for the Teddy Bear Artist Event in Stratford - upon - Avon in a couple of weeks time.
Keep looking as photos should be appearing soon!
