April...

Hi everybody, hope you all had a good Easter and didn't eat too much chocolate? I can't believe it's April already and spring is definitely springing here in the UK. The daffodils and primroses are in flower, leaf buds are starting to unfurl on the trees and the little lambs are running about in the fields - what a lovely time of year!!

I have had a couple of weeks off from bear making over Easter but am now raring to go and to prove that point.......

This is Tilly...

Tilly is made from pink hand dyed mohair with matching cotton fabric paw pads. She is 8.75" (22cm) tall and has slightly bent legs giving her a babyish look. Tilly has black glass eyes with tiny eye whites, a pink embroidered nose and is wearing a pink and white ribbon around her head.

And this is Niall....

Niall is my latest dungaree wearing bear! He is made from very light honey coloured mohair with the backing fabric used for his paw pads. He has flexible paws which make him very poseable. Niall has black glass eyes and a black embroidered nose. He is wearing his new hand knitted blue shorts which have pale yellow square buttons on the straps and a heart button on the waistband.
Niall is 10" (25cm) tall.

Next comes Felix...

Felix is made from soft feeling apricot mohair with a dark brown tip and has toning dark apricot coloured paw pads. He has sad looking black glass eyes with eye whites, a trimmed muzzle and a black embroidered nose. Felix also has bent legs, giving him a baby cub look like Tilly.
Felix is 8.75" (22cm) tall.

And lastly for now, meet Smudge...

Smudge is made from creamy coloured alpaca with toning faux cashmere paw pads. He has black shaded glass eyes, a dark brown embroidered nose and light shading on his muzzle. Smudge is 8" (20cm) tall.

All these bears and more will be on show at the Great Yorkshire Teddy Bear Event Springfest in Sheffield.
This super show is organised by Katherine of Katie Rae Bears and a very good job she does too! The show is held at the Sheffield Hilton Hotel and is on Sunday 17th May, open from 10.30am - 4pm. Why don't you make a note of the date in your diary and come along to see the bears...we'd love to meet you!
