Taking a Break

Hello, apologies for the lack of posts, and bears, lately but after much pondering and wondering if I'm doing the right thing.....I've decided to have a rest from bear making for the time being.
Sooo I'm sorry to say that I won't be exhibiting at any bear fairs this year.
I will hopefully be at Hugglets in September but only as a visitor, so I may still see some of my old customers!
If and when my bear making mojo returns I will be back and a big"Thank You" to everyone who has given a home to a Mabledon Road Bear in the past.   Sue  x

Watch This Space....

Sorry there haven't been any posts lately but 2016 started really badly for me what with suspected broken wrists and a funeral - not good.

But hopefully there will be some new bears coming soon, so watch this space.....

Winter Bearfest 2016

Hello and a belated Happy new Year to everybody reading this!
I've not been able to make any new bears yet this year as I slipped over in the wet on Monday and have either badly sprained or broken a little bone in my wrist!! Quite painful and very frustrating!!
I have lots of ideas for the Hugglets Winter Bearfest 2016 on 28th February and can't do any sewing with a plaster cast on my arm!! More x-rays next week should reveal all and hopefully it's not broken.

Mabledon Road Bears will be here in our usual spot, downstairs (in the cupboard) in Hall 3 stand number 101A         See you there!

Our next event is Hugglets Winter Bearfest on Sunday 28th February 2016, so see you all there.

Meanwhile lets all get ready for Christmas!!

New Paws!

I've just started a new girlie bear in very pale pink, beautifully soft alpaca....and she's got a new style of paws! I have been wanted to try this style of paws with toes for a while now and I'm quite pleased with the results. What do you think....?

The arms and legs do look a bit strange laying here in a pile but hopefully will look ok when the bear is put together!
I will post a photo of the completed bear when she is finished.
